Detailed Description
Microsoft has issued a security update for Microsoft Visio in order to resolve a remote code execution vulnerability found in the product. The vulnerability was caused by improper handling of memory when parsing specially crafted Visio files. An attacker could exploit this condition to execute arbitrary code and take control of an affected system.
The vulnerability has been resolved through the latest security update by introducing a modification on the way that Microsoft Visio Viewer validates data when parsing specially crafted files.
