Board of directors
The Annual General Meeting of F-Secure Corporation held on April 3, 2012 confirmed the number of Board members to be six (6) members. The following members of the Board were re-elected for the period ending at the close of the next Annual General Meeting: Sari Baldauf, Pertti Ervi, Juho Malmberg, Risto Siilasmaa, Anu Nissinen and Jussi Arovaara for the period ending at the close of the next Annual General Meeting.
Mr Risto Siilasmaa acts as the Chairman of Board of Directors of F-Secure Corporation.
Risto Siilasmaa | |
 | Chairman of the Board Risto Siilasmaa is the founder of F-Secure and served as the President and CEO of the company until November 5, 2006. Since then he has held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is also a Chairman of the Board of Nokia Corporation, Fruugo Inc and a member of the Board of Blyk Ltd and Mendor Ltd. Mr Siilasmaa is a member of Investment Council of Finnish Industry Investment Ltd, a member of the Board of The Federation of Finnish Technology Industries and a member of the Board of Directors, Confederation of Finnish Industries. He has received severals awards including Nordic Chairman of the year 2009, the Most Influential IT Leader 2007 and The Leader of the Decade 2003. Mr. Siilasmaa holds a Master of Science degree from the Helsinki University of Technology. |
Pertti Ervi | |
 | Member of the Board Pertti Ervi is a management consultant and serves in board of directors in several companies. He has served on the Board of F-Secure since 2003 and is the Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr Ervi is a Chairman of the Boards of Inventure Oy, Nevtor Oy, Efecte Oy, Ixonos Plc and Comptel Corporation. He is also a member of the Board of Teleste Corporation. Mr Ervi co-founded Computer 2000 Finland Oy and served as a MD for the company until 1995. After that he worked as Co-President for Computer 2000 AG international headquarters in Munich, Germany. He has worked closely at international management level with major IT vendors such as Cisco, IBM, Intel, HP and Microsoft. Mr Ervi holds a B.Sc/Electronics degree from Tekniska Läroverket (Swedish Institute of Technology) in Helsinki. He has also completed several financial and management studies. |
Sari Baldauf | |
 | Member of the Board Sari Baldauf has been a member of the Board of F-Secure since 2005 and chairs its Executive Committee. She serves also on the Board of Directors of CapMan Plc, Connected Day Ltd and on the Supervisory Board of Daimler AG. She is a Vice Chairman of the Board of Fortum Corporation. Previously she worked for more than twenty years with Nokia Corporation; as a member of the Group Executive Board, 1994-2005 and Executive Vice President and General Manager of Networks, 1998-2005. In addition to business, her interest include work for the benefit of children & youth as well as culture. She serves on the Board of International Youth Foundation and Finnish Business and Policy Forum EVA. She is also a member of the Board of Global Advisory Board of IE Business School (Madrid) and Advisory Board of Helsinki School of Economics. She is Chairman of the Board of Savonlinna Opera Festival. Ms. Baldauf earned a B. Sc. degree in 1977 and Master of Science (Business Administration) in 1979 from the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration, Finland. |
Juho Malmberg | |
 | Member of the Board Juho Malmberg has served as a member of the Board of F-Secure since 2008. He is CEO of ZenRobotics Oy. Previously he has served as Executive Vice President, Development and a Member of Executive Board of KONE Corporation 2006-2012, Managing Director of Accenture Finland 2002-2005, Director, Nordic Outsourcing of Accenture 2005, Deputy Managing Director 1999-2002 and Technology Director 1992-1999. Juho Malmberg holds a M.Sc. degree (Computer Science). |
Anu Nissinen | |
 | Member of the Board Anu Nissinen has served as a member of the Board of F-Secure since 2010. Anu Nissinen is CEO of Sanoma Media and a Member of the Executive Management Group of Sanoma. She has previously worked as President of Sanoma Entertainment Oy, President of SW Television Oy / Welho, Marketing Director of Helsinki Televisio Oy and Marketing Manager of Oy Sinebrychoff Ab. Anu Nissinen holds M.Sc. degree (Econ.). |
Jussi Arovaara | |
 | Member of the Board Jussi Arovaara has served as a member of the Board of F-Secure since 2010. Mr. Arovaara is Vice President, Global Sales Operations in Corel Corporation (UK) and has served in several international sales, marketing and business development positions in Corel Corporation in the UK, Canada and Finland since 1996, e.g. during 2005 – 2009 Senior Director, International Sales and Marketing Operations, Corel Corporation (UK), 2004 – 2005 Director, International Product Marketing, (UK) and 1999 – 2001 International Product Marketing Corel Corporation, Vice President, Sales Operations Corel Corporation (Canada). In his earlier career before 1996 he has worked in several sales and marketing positions in computer wholesale. |
