How to check that my databases are up to date
on F-Secure Anti-Virus 5?

      Frequently Asked Questions

1. In System Tray (in the lower right corner of the screen) you can see F-Secure Anti-Virus icon (blue triangel). Double click it.

Note! If the triangel is purple, please see the instructions for F-Secure Anti-Virus 4.

2. F-Secure Settings and Statistics window will appear. Select F-Secure Anti-Virus and click on the button "Properties".

3. F-Secure Anti-Virus window will appear. Select the tab "Updates".

4. On the "Updates" tab you can see F-Secure Anti-Virus scanning engines and the dates of the virus definition databases.

Note! The databases of F-Secure Orion are not updated as often as the other two, so sometimes they might be even several weeks old.
The scanning engine F-Secure Orion is not used in operating systems Windows 95/98/ME.

5. The date behind "Virus signature databases last updated:" shows when the databases have been updated. It might not be the same date as the date of the scanning engine databases. To check if your databases are up to date, please see the date of the Latest Definition Updates on the database update page.
